Shared Expenses · Last updated 20 September 2026
Email support@mohsinapps.com and you will get a reply within two working days. It helps to say which phone you are on and what you were doing when something went wrong.
How do I add someone to a group?
Open the group, share the invite code, and have them enter it in the app. They do not need to create an account. A code can only be claimed once and it expires, so generate a fresh one for each person. Treat a code like a key — anyone who has it can join.
I made a mistake in an expense
Reverse it and add a corrected one. Expenses are never edited or deleted in place, so the reversed entry stays visible in the activity history. That is deliberate: it means everyone in the group can check how a balance was reached, and nobody can quietly rewrite the past.
Why aren't my currencies added together?
Balances are tracked separately per currency and are never converted. If your group has spending in dirhams and euros, you will see a dirham balance and a euro balance. Exchange rates move, and silently converting would mean the app decided how much someone owes based on a rate nobody agreed to.
What happens if I reinstall, or get a new phone?
If you have added an email under Account → Back up everything, sign in with it on the new phone and your groups, your direct balances and your settlement history all come back. There is nothing else to do.
If you have not, all of it only ever existed on that one installation and cannot be recovered. Ask someone else in the group to send you a fresh invite code so you can rejoin. It is worth adding the email before you need it rather than after.
How do I delete my data?
If you added an email, go to Account → Delete account in the app. That removes your sign-in and your profile immediately.
Otherwise, email support@mohsinapps.com and say which groups to remove. Deleting the app on its own does not delete what is stored on the server. See the privacy policy for what is kept, and for what stays behind in groups you shared with other people.
Does the app move money?
No. It records that a payment happened between two people so the balances update. Actually paying each other is up to you.
